From Local Gem to Premier Entertainment Destination

The South Orange Performing Arts Center (SOPAC) has a long history of bringing quality live entertainment to Essex County, NJ. However, their branding and website previously did not reflect this, instead giving the impression of an insurance company. Like many non-profit arts organizations, SOPAC focused heavily on the non-profit aspect of their business, downplaying the entertainment component.

Our rebranding efforts breathed new life into SOPAC, transforming it from a local gem into a cultural hub for the community and one of the state’s premier entertainment destinations. This revitalization garnered SOPAC the Discover Jersey Arts People’s Choice Award for five consecutive years, while simultaneously boosting revenue, increasing donations, and cutting costs by streamlining website updates.

Previewing the Performers

With over 250 artists gracing its stage annually, SOPAC’s new brand identity featured each upcoming artist on a Homepage Slideshow and on a dedicated Landing Page, complete with photos, audio, and video.

This feature allowed ticket buyers to experience a taste of the performances before purchasing tickets, enhancing the overall buying experience while significantly improving SEO performance for both SOPAC and the artists.

Community Outreach

Our redesigned Donation Portal kept Patrons up to date on the many ways they could support SOPAC while making it easier to make donations.

In addition to being an entertainment venue, the site facilitated SOPAC’s involvement in the greater South Orange community. As a non-profit organization, it provides a number of community services: Sponsorship Opportunities, Educational Programs, Facility Rental for productions and events, an Art Gallery, and a monthly Podcast promoting upcoming performances. The “Plan Your Visit” section provided t special offers from local partners.
